Wrinkle reduction treatment works by relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles. By relaxing these muscles, like frown lines, wrinkles become less deep.
It has many uses. It can be placed in to frown lines to not only reduce the lines in that area, but to prevent someone from looking angry or concerned all the time. Other areas that do great with wrinkle reduction therapy are the crow’s feet (smile lines beside the eyes), forehead lines, and lines around the mouth and neck. It can even be used to help someone with a gummy smile (those who smile so strong that you can see their teeth and gums).
Wrinkle reduction therapy should be performed by a trained physician in the correct amount. There is NO danger of botulism from wrinkle reduction treatments. Botulism is caused by very large amounts of the toxin in the system usually from eating contaminated food. When used for cosmetic reasons doses of 30 – 100 units are all that are needed. Medical treatments use up to 1000 or more units with no concerns.

After injection, your wrinkle reduction treatment will begin to work in 3-4 days. It will continue to improve for 10-14 days. Gradually over three to five months the wrinkle reduction treatment effect will fade. When the lines begin to reappear, a simple repeat injection is all that is necessary to maintain the effect.
This type of wrinkle reduction therapy should not be used if you may be pregnant or breastfeeding.
