Photo-rejuvenation

With the use of light brown marks caused by sun damage and aging are lightened and broken blood vessels are removed with one machine.

Photorejuvenation is perfect for those whose skin reflects early signs of aging and who cannot afford the recovery time associated with other procedures.

Photorejuvenation or "light facials" work without the deep resurfacing caused by high energy lasers like pulsed CO2 and Erbium YAG.

Instead, photorejuvenation delivers pulses of light to the skin, thereby stimulating collagen renewal. After several treatments, the newly-produced collagen and elastin result in smoother, younger-looking skin

While it is not a substitute for other procedures, photo rejuvenation can be used to enhance the results of other cosmetic procedures such laser resurfacing, face lift and chemical peels.

Though all parts of the skin respond to photo rejuvenation, it is most effective in treating face, neck and chest.

Photo rejuvenation can improve:

  • sun damage
  • fine wrinkles
  • freckles
  • irregular pigmentation
  • the appearance of large pores
  • rosacea
  • brown age spots
  • dilated capillaries

Patients with minor wrinkling, blotchiness and obvious facial blood vessels can expect good results. Those who have deeper wrinkles and scars will require more treatments

Each treatment takes about 25 minutes.

Skin will appear flushed right after treatment and capillaries may be more visible. Age spots may also appear slightly darker for a few days after the first treatment. These changes will diminish gradually, however. You will see visible improvement after each treatment

Many people see an improvement after their first treatment

Avoid tanning before and after Photorejuvenation treatments as tanning will enhance uneven skin color.

A series of up to 5 treatments at 4 week intervals is recommended for best results. Maintenance treatments twice a year are recommended.
