Chemical Peels

Chemical peels results in the formation of a new layer of skin which is usually smoother, more even in colour, less wrinkled and therefore more youthful looking.

Chemical peels cannot remove loose or sagging skin and do not serve the same function as a face lift, brow lift, or eyelid lift. Chemical peeling will not remove deep scars.

Chemical peeling is often used to treat fine lines and wrinkles. Wrinkles caused by sun damage, aging and hereditary factors can often be reduced or even eliminated with this procedure. Brown marks often called "age spots", permanent freckles, or other pigmentary changes of the skin can also respond extremely well to chemical peels. Mild scarring and certain types of acne can be treated with chemical peels. In addition, pigmentation of the skin in the form of sun spots, age spots, liver spots, freckles, blotchiness, and skin that is dull in texture and color may be improved with chemical peeling. Areas of sun-damaged skin, spots of precancerous areas may improve after chemical peeling. Following treatment, new lesions or patches are less likely to appear

procedure can be performed on the face, neck, chest, hands, arms and legs. Peeling agents come in different forms and strengths. The stronger the agent the deeper the injury the more dramatic the results. Superficial peel, like glycolic acid peels or sometimes-called lunchtime peels will give some improvement to the texture and tone of the skin. The skin often looks revitalized and brings back a glow and shine with mild changes to small wrinkles. The deeper peels will result in a greater change in the appearance of the skin with more marked changes in texture and tone

Superficial peels usually result in mild redness and some dry or scaling patches on the skin for a few days. These are not usually easily noticed and often easily covered in desired.

SilkPeel™

The Silk Peel system is a breakthrough system that combines precision non-invasive exfoliation with Dermalinfusion™, deep delivery of skin-specific solutions, to improve and revitalize the skin. One or more of the specialized treatment serums, formulated to address a variety of skin conditions is chosen. The SilkPeel™ infuses these products deep into the skin where they are most effective. The solution doesn't just sit on top of your skin like a lotion or cream would, instead the patented SilkPeel™ handpiece deeply delivers the vitamins, antioxidants and other therapeutic ingredients that your skin needs most.

The proprietary formulations absorb down to where they will be most effective in brightening, clarifying, and hydrating your skin. Dermalinfusion™ optimizes the benefits of exfoliation and the effects of the serums without the often uncomfortable and painful effects that people experience with most peels.

This type of peel works well on patients with excess pigment like Melasma.
